Harlan was a famous and rich detective writer. He was found suicided with his throat cut himself the day after his 85th birthday party. Police and one private detective came and investeged on Harlan's death a week after his birthday party. The curtain of Harlan's death and the family's secrects was revealed during the investigation...

For me I want to futher discuss on the major role , Marsha, nurse and the will successor of Harlan.

She thought she had misskilled Harlan, so she tried cover herself under the instruction of harlan.For Harlan left all his enterty to Marsh, and if Marsh confessed herself to police that she had mistaklingly indose the wrong medisien and caused his death, then Marsha wouldn't be able to inherit the weath.

At first Marsha decide to follow the guide of Harlan, but later, as escalation of the arguement among the family members and her own guilty, she confessed, but later the real misteries been revealed that it was a trap set by Halan's grandson Hugh, who had been told earlier by Harlan at the party that Marsha would be the legal successor.So Hugh had thought of the the trck t to set Marsh up, he can then took the successor back .

All of the family members here are all greedy, and they fully rely on Harlan's financial support. As they knew they could count on Harlan, so they acted like parasites, and asked for more shamelessly.

The movie intends to tell the audience. We should hold a kind heart and to cherish, follow it. Thewe will get good rewards enventually and confidently.
