電影《青春未知數》影評：Dear Other Half,

Where are you? Where are you? Where are you? 已經不重要了。。。。

是的，已經到了這樣一個人為刀俎放棄掙扎的年紀，喪是常態，但還是要承認，看到Ellie和Aster告別的最後衝上去的那一吻，還是不禁幻想了下在平行宇宙裡，我也selfish enough and bold enough to kiss you goodbye instead of leaving a box of junk....真的是太年少傻逼了。很遺憾當年身邊缺少個Paul憨憨tell me all about the kissing signal recognition technique...

關於內容和主題的討論，龐老師的微博裡已經寫得非常好了，Wu導自己也在訪問裡說她的基友們紛紛表示願意為了Paul憨憨變直。Wu導的故事選址也是用心良苦，特意設定在一個「Trump country"

「I believe that even though I’m Asian and lesbian and grew up in an immigrant family, I still think that the vast majority of us are far more similar than different,」 Wu said. 「As a filmmaker, I probably strive most toward empathy. I rarely have villains. I might have characters that are not actualized as to their understanding of humanity, but they’re not bad people.」

「If I can make a 17-year-old white conservative boy somewhere in the heartland relate to an immigrant Chinese girl, I’ve won.」

「I’ll never forget being in the Castro, in a huge audience of queer men in leather sitting next to old immigrant Chinese men who could barely speak English,」 she said. 「That’s something I will take to my grave as one of the best feelings of my life.」

所以確實，用gentle形容Wu導的兩部片子再準確不過。所以不能每天只看新聞刷微博，偶爾看看電影看看有人在實踐善良美好公平正義，以免沉淪於操蛋的世界。

再記兩筆有的沒的吧。

Hellquahamish雖然是虛構的，但在華盛頓州離Seattle很近有個地方叫Suquamish，景色也很不錯。

Ellie和Aster泡野生溫泉那段堪稱全片精華， 那個倒影就在呼應前面講的古希臘人所相信的人類曾經的樣子，雙生的完整的人。俄羅斯套娃那個梗真的是哈哈哈戳中笑點因為在下也經常那麼穿。後來俯視的鏡頭我才意識到Aster穿上了Ellie本來套在秋衣外面的Tshirt，不禁想起Broke Back Mountain裡那套在一起的兩件牛仔襯衫，不知Wu導是否有意致敬。

感謝眼尖的豆友阿龍，Ellie和她爸一起看的電影是《柏林蒼穹下》和《卡薩布蘭卡》，她爸每次都要說the best part...,而Ellie泡溫泉時說她媽媽講過每首歌每個電影每個故事has a best part. 可以想象爸媽的感情有多好。還有討論赫本時出現了費城故事（1940）以及不知道哪一部卓別林。

倆人在Ghost Messenger裡起的名字也挺好玩，Smith Corona是個老牌的typewriter也是很符合Ellie作文鑽石賣家的人設了，Ellie床頭放的打字機我估計就是這個牌子。Aster叫DiegaRivero，搜了下應該是來自於墨西哥畫家Diego Rivera. 墨西哥，畫家，也很make sense. 有意思的是這位畫家是位無神論者，看來Aster對於上帝也並非那麼確定。影片裡Aster一直和Ellie說希望她找到something to believe in, 也許Wu導自己也在尋找吧。

從面子開始Wu導的幽默感就很棒，好的幽默感對於探討嚴肅主題的電影尤為重要。

嗯，我給自己這種糾結於細節的觀影方式起名叫考古式觀影，或者CSI式觀影也可。冊那寫著寫著天又亮了，怎麼辦，睡還是不睡？！！
