電影《遊牧人生》影評：Nomadland 1/11/2021

Road is for those who had to depart, who were pained, and couldn’t turn themselves around. Driving is for those who lost control, who ain’t going nowhere.

This is the only way life gets to continue. Somewhere in that hope of seeing each other again at some point, is the belief of never-ending memories. Yet they are still trying to find hope, when they have been broken. There is another stop, another job, another person to talk to, and be sure of that dusk is not meant to be alone, nor is night, nor is life on the road. We live to to have a life to look for.

They are Nomads, these people, and they have something to forget, something to remember, something down the road to be found. Motors groan on the sprawling roads, dragging the life of a person further into the land of both tomorrow and yesterday. And people stop not for gas, but campfires, and songs to recognize each other.
